Scott Ellis

Scott Ellis brings over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, emergency preparedness, and government affairs. His career has spanned roles as a detective specializing in violent crimes, a narcotics officer, a member of the Special Tactics and Rescue Team, and a participant in the FBl’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has been a consistent advocate for public safety, serving on statewide traffic safety and child protection boards and leading policy efforts around alcohol laws and hospitality regulations. Today, as Executive Director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association and a partner to tech-forward safety initiatives like ZeroEyes, Scott continues to protect what’s important through policy, strategic partnerships, and proactive risk management.
- Professional Experience
Former officer with 20+ years of service, including roles in violent crime investigation, narcotics, tactical response, and counterterrorism (FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force).
Executive Director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association and Past Chair of the Michigan Society of Association Executives.
Served on multiple advocacy and safety boards, including the Child Abuse Protocol Board, Traffic Safety Committee, Small Talk Child Abuse Prevention Board, and others.
Nationally recognized consultant and speaker on terrorism, highway safety, and alcohol laws; awarded the Medal of Honor and Life Saving Award for distinguished public service.
